Perthes: Jackson’s Story

Jackson, a nine-year-old Canadian boy at the time this video was recorded, was diagnosed with Perthes, a rare childhood condition that affects the hip. Pediatric orthopedic surgeon Dr. Shawn Standard at the International Center for Limb Lengthening is treating Jackson so he will be able to run, jump and play like his peers.
