Coronavirus Update: June 29, 2020 We Are Open and Safe!
Please note that the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics’ clinics and offices are now open to all patients, and elective surgeries have resumed. Nothing is more important to us than your health and safety. No patients with Coronavirus are being treated in our Schoeneman Building at Sinai Hospital.
To ensure maximum safety in all of our clinics and offices, we are preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our patient areas by:
Extensively cleaning exams rooms between patients,
Frequently disinfecting welcome areas,
Continuing to require staff, patients and visitors to wear masks,
Enforcing social distancing,
Limiting schedules so fewer patients are in our offices at the same time, and
Screening both patients and staff on a daily basis.
Sinai Hospital’s Visitor Policies have changed, effective June 29, 2020:
Visitor hours will now be from 12-8 PM.
All visitors will be screened for flu-like symptoms and will not be allowed to visit the hospital if symptoms exist.
Visitors MUST wear a mask. A mask will be provided if you do not have one. Please note that cloth masks are not permitted.
No visitors under age 18 are allowed unless they are the parent of a child in the hospital. This includes the clinic waiting room and other public areas.
Patients (who are not under investigation for COVID-19 or COVID-positive) coming for a clinic visit or same-day procedure may have one designated visitor/support person.
Surgical patients are also permitted one visitor/support person, but this support person may change by the calendar day (not more frequently) during the course of the patient’s hospitalization.
A second parent/guardian/visitor accompanying a patient having surgery may wait in an air-conditioned Procedural Waiting Area tent if they do not have another alternative.
Visitors may purchase food in the cafeteria, but they cannot eat in the cafeteria or atrium seating areas due to social distancing requirements.
